Sgrafitto Porcelain Mosaic Mirror

This mirror is part of my arch/shrine series. It alludes to trees, nature, the evolving circle of our life and those things that we find important or pray to. This is the largest piece that I have done so far. Each individual tile was carved, fired and then mounted on tile backer board and grouted. It is porcelain, pattern is carved through black underglaze in a technique called Sgraffito.

sgraf·fi·to (skră-fē'tō, zgrä-) Decoration produced on pottery or ceramic by scratching through a surface of plaster or glazing to reveal a different color underneath. Ware decorated in this manner.

Dimensions: 2' wide x 3' high x 2" deep

Mirror is available by special commission.  The orginal has sold.

Commission Terms
1.  Deposit of half due at time order is placed.
2.  Normal turn around is 3-4 weeks.  We will advise if there will be any other delay based on our work load.
3.  Balance, plus estimated shipping, is due when the project is shipped.  You will be sent a picture of the final work before shipping.
4.  If you do not wish to conclude the transaction at shipping then we will refund your deposit minus a 15% restocking fee (15% of the total purchase price).
5.  We only charge actual shipping and packaging.  Your artwork will be taken to the UPS store for packaging and shipping.  If  charges are less then we will refund the balance.  If more, then you will be asked to pay the balance.  We do not make money on shipping.
